Nominate & vote

Your vote moves
the money.

Pledging members nominate local nonprofits each season, then vote to decide who receives the full pooled gift. One person, one vote — no exceptions.

Nominate a nonprofit

Know a San Diego nonprofit doing meaningful work? Nominate them. Any pledging member can submit one nomination per season. We'll verify 501(c)(3) status and add eligible nominations to the ballot.

Only members with an active pledge may nominate.

Nomination rules

Who can nominate?

Any member with an active pledge for the current season. Your pledge must be live before nominations close.

How many nominations per member?

One. Choose carefully — duplicate submissions from the same member are discarded.

What orgs are eligible?

Registered 501(c)(3) organizations with a primary focus on serving San Diego County. National orgs with an active local presence may qualify.

Can I nominate my own org?

No. Members cannot nominate organizations they are employed by, on the board of, or financially affiliated with.

How is the shortlist picked?

All eligible nominations go to a member-wide vote. There's no editorial filter — if it's eligible, it's on the ballot.

When is voting?

After nominations close, pledging members receive a private ballot link by email. Voting is open for approximately two weeks.
